Crumb-Topped Pumpkin Pie


Ingredients

  • 2 sticks pie crust mix
  • 1 can (1 pound) pumpkin (2 cups)
  • 1 can (15 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • Orange Crumble Topping (below)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Prepare pastry for 9-inch One-crust Pie as directed on package.
  3. Beat pumpkin, milk, egg, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger with rotary beater.
  4. Pour into pastry-line pie pan.
  5. Sprinkle with Orange Crumble Topping.
  6. Cover edge with 2- to 3-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning; remove foil last 15 minutes of baking.
  7. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until filling is set and pastry is brown.

Orange Crumble Topping

  1. Mix remaining pie crust stick, 2 teaspoons grated orange peel and ½ cup brown sugar (packed) until crumbly.
