Cream Cheese Cookies


Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla
  • 18½ ounces yellow or devils food cake mix

Directions

  1. Cream butter and cheese.
  2. Blend in egg yolk and vanilla.
  3. Add cake mix (dry), ⅓ at a time, mixing well after each addition. (If mixer is used, add last ⅓ of cake mix by hand.)
  4. Cover; chill 30 minutes.
  5. Heat oven to 375°.
  6. Drop by level teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
  8. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
