Caramel Sticky Buns


Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter or margarine
  • ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 cups buttermilk baking mix
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup light cream (20%)
  • 1 egg
  • 36 pecan halves

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In each of 12 medium muffin cups (2¾ inches in diameter), place 2 teaspoons each butter and brown sugar.
  3. Place in oven to melt.
  4. Mix remaining ingredients except pecan halves; beat vigorously ½ minute.
  5. Remove muffin cups from oven; place 3 pecan halves on butter-sugar mixture in each muffin cup.
  6. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups (cups should be about ½ full).
  7. Bake about 15 minutes.
  8. Immediately invert pan and gently remove buns to prevent sticking.
